African Ministers Fellowship Celebrates 18th Anniversary

The African Ministers Fellowship (AMF) marked a significant milestone as it celebrated its 18th-year anniversary with a grand event themed “United for Kingdom Building”. The event, which took place on December 15, 2024, at 207 West Hampton Pl., Capitol Heights, MD 20748, gathered ministers, church leaders, and brethren from across various churches and ministries. Attendees were treated to an inspiring afternoon filled with unity, purpose, and a renewed commitment to kingdom building in line with the theme anchored on Matthew 12:30.

A Legacy of Purpose

Founded with a vision to unite Christian ministers of African descent within the Washington metropolitan area, The African Ministers Fellowship (AMF) is a non-profit, interdenominational organization which has grown into a beacon of collaboration and purpose.
While rooted in African origins, AMF embraces diversity, welcoming ministers and believers from all nationalities and denominations. This reflects the true essence of the body of Christ, where unity transcends earthly barriers and foreshadows the harmony of heaven.

Over the years, AMF has remained steadfast in its mission to:

  • Deepening believers’ relationship with God.
  • Exalting God through collective worship.
  • Evangelizing communities and fostering restoration.
  • Equipping ministers through seminars, workshops, and joint efforts.
  • Encouraging and empowering ministries for long-term success.

This unwavering commitment to kingdom advancement was at the heart of the celebration, as the fellowship reflected on its achievements and looked forward to the future with renewed vigor.

A Reflection on Unity and Commitment

The highlight of the event was the inspiring speech delivered by Pastor Dr. Michael A. Dada, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. As the gathering celebrated AMF’s journey, Pastor Dada took attendees on a reflective walk through the past 18 years. Expressing gratitude for the fellowship’s resilience and growth, he acknowledged the beauty of unity among ministers and brethren from diverse ministries.

As I reflect on the past 18 years of AMF, I see a growing fellowship despite the challenges and the minor setbacks. I see the resolve of the ministers of God committed to kingdom building, and I also see the Scripture fulfilled in the area of our unity. Psalm 133:1 says, ‘Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!‘”

Pastor Dada’s words resonated deeply, highlighting the significance of coming together month after month, year after year, to deliberate on matters of the kingdom. He emphasized how the annual December gathering serves as a cornerstone in strengthening relationships and fostering a shared vision for kingdom growth.

The theme, “United for Kingdom Building”, was a central focus of his address, as Pastor Dada urged attendees to renew their commitment to soul-winning and personal spiritual growth. He concluded with a charge for continued collaboration:

We must continue to work together for the greater good of the fellowship and have a clear vision to see our local chapters grow stronger every year. Congratulations to all of you and to AMF.

Building Together for Greater Impact

The growth and success of AMF over the years are a reflection of its robust leadership structure and the dedication of ministers who have led with vision and purpose. At the heart of this structure are four key regional chapters, each led by dedicated leaders who have worked tirelessly to strengthen AMF’s presence and impact in their respective areas:

  • Southern States Chapter President: Pastor John Ahmed
  • Virginia Chapter President: Pastor Dr. Francis Boateng
  • Baltimore Chapter President: Pastor Tayo Kubi
  • DC Chapter President: Chaplain Dr. Stephen Olujimi

These chapters serve as the driving force behind AMF’s outreach efforts, equipping ministers through training programs, fostering evangelistic initiatives, and creating opportunities for collaboration. The success of these chapters underscores AMF’s commitment to building a stronger and more united fellowship.

The Central Leadership Team

At the helm of the African Ministers Fellowship is the Board of Trustees, a team of dedicated leaders who provide direction, oversight, and support to the fellowship’s activities. The current leadership team includes:

  • Vice Chairman: Apostle Peter Odagbodo
  • Secretary: Pastor Reggie Opara
  • Member: Reverend Felicia Coker

This leadership team has been instrumental in guiding AMF’s vision, ensuring that the fellowship remains focused on its mission to unite ministers and build the kingdom of God. Their collective efforts continue to inspire growth, foster unity, and empower ministries across the region.

A Celebration of Unity and Purpose

The 18th anniversary event was more than a celebration of longevity; it was a testament to the power of unity in advancing God’s kingdom. From heartfelt speeches to moments of worship and fellowship, the gathering embodied the very essence of AMF’s mission. Ministers and brethren left the event with a renewed sense of purpose, inspired to impact their communities and nurture deeper relationships with God.

The theme, “United for Kingdom Building“, served as a powerful reminder that collective efforts can yield lasting results. As Pastor Dada noted, “Our efforts will not be in vain.” This call to action resonated throughout the event, encouraging all present to remain steadfast in faith, unity, and purpose.

A Vision for the Future

As AMF looks to the future, its mission remains clear: to strengthen its chapters, expand its reach, and build a fellowship that reflects the unity and love of Christ. The leadership’s vision for growth and collaboration sets the stage for even greater impact in the years to come.

The 18th anniversary celebration was not just a reflection of AMF’s past achievements but a launchpad for the future. With continued dedication and unity, AMF stands poised to make an even greater impact, building the kingdom of God together.
